Banksy: Genius or Vandal
The exhibition Banksy: Genius or Vandal currently being hosted at the IFEMA (institución Ferial de Madrid) until March 3rd this year, examines one of the best known and most polemical living artists in the world today. Containing more than 70 individual pieces that are organised thematically (many of which are being shown in Spain for the first time) the exhibition includes art works, sculptures, installations, videos and photographs drawn from private collections.
FITUR, global encounter hub
Fitur, the International Tourism Trade Fair, will be held again from the 17th to the 21st of January 2018. The best professionals of the tourism industry will meet at this fair, which celebrates its 38th edition. It is the leading event for the receptive and emitter markets of the Spanish speaking countries. The figures of the last edition certify the success, with almost 1,000 exhibitors, more than 160 countries and regions represented, about 136,000 professional participants, and about 110,000 visitors as a general public. The presence of more than 7,500 media, the growth in business appointments and international expansion of international visitors (compared to the 2016 edition) have also certified the leadership in the sector. Their growth in Social Networks is also important.

PHotoESPAÑA 2018 - The Festival marks its 20th Anniversary
For the last 20 years during the hot summer months of June, July and August the city of Madrid has provided fans of photography with a unique festival, PHotoESPAÑA which has become an international reference and includes not only photography but film, documentary, video art, workshops, lectures and seminars. This year the festival takes place between June 6th and August 26th with more than 90 exhibitions featuring some 530 artists together with a programme of 21 professional and public activities taking place in 80 centres.
The Museo de Prado celebrates its Bicentenary
The Museo del Prado is unquestionably one of the most remarkable museums in the world, its permanent collection includes paintings by some of the most celebrated European masters of the period spanning the 16th and 19th Centuries as well as subsequent periods, sculpture, decorative arts, prints etc.. Consistently amongst the top 10 most visited museums in the world, at the end of this year the Museo Nacional del Prado celebrates it 200th anniversary.
Mad Cool 2018
